Total Clean NY

Cleaner spaces. Healthier lives.

Our own vans, our own crew

The van outside is ours. So is the technician.

No subcontractors, no lead-selling apps, no rotating strangers. The same technicians work the same neighborhoods, in uniform, in a van with our name on the side. The same faces each visit, and a number that reaches the people who did the work.

The promo

What $149 actually covers

Duct cleaning has a reputation for bait pricing — a cheap ad, then a technician who finds $600 of urgent problems in your basement. Here's the whole offer in writing, and the only extras that exist.

  • One HVAC system, up to 10 supply registers and the main return.
  • Negative-air machine attached to the trunk line so debris leaves the house rather than blowing around it.
  • Rotary brush and compressed-air agitation in each run, register covers washed.
  • Camera footage of the trunk line before and after, shown to you on the spot.

The only add-ons we offer

  • Additional vents beyond the first 10
  • A second HVAC system, where the home has one
  • Dryer vent cleaning on the same visit
  • Sanitising treatment, only where mould is documented
  • Each counted, quoted on site and approved by you before work starts

What we fix

Signs your ducts are overdue

Any two of these together usually means the system is recirculating more than it's filtering.

Dust that returns in days

You dust on Sunday and surfaces are grey by Wednesday. That dust is being redistributed every time the system cycles.

Rooms that never match

One bedroom stays hot while another freezes. Restricted branches and blocked registers are a common cause.

A smell when the system kicks on

Musty or stale air in the first minute of a cycle usually means debris or moisture sitting in the ductwork.

Visible build-up at the vents

Pull a register cover. If you can see a fur of dust on the duct wall, the rest of the run looks the same.

Recent renovation

Drywall and saw dust get pulled into returns and stay there for years unless the system is cleaned out.

A dryer that takes two cycles

That's a lint-blocked vent line — a fire risk as much as an energy one, and worth doing on the same visit.

Why people book us

Duct cleaning has an honesty problem. We know.

This trade is famous for the bargain advert that becomes a four-figure invoice once the technician is in your basement. Here is exactly how we avoid being that company.

$149 covers a full system

One system, up to 10 vents, the main return. Anything beyond that is counted in front of you, quoted on the spot, and only done if you say yes — nothing appears on the invoice that you did not agree to.

You see inside the ducts yourself

We drop a camera into the trunk line and show you the footage before we start and again when we finish. You are not taking our word for what was in there.

No sanitiser you do not need

Routine fogging is the classic upsell. We only suggest it where mould or odour is documented, and we show you the evidence first.

No invented emergencies

Nobody on our crew is paid to find a problem. If your system is clean enough not to need us for another two years, that is what you will be told.

Honest about what is not yours

In many apartment buildings the risers belong to the building, not to you. We will tell you that in the first five minutes rather than clean a stub and charge for a system.

Clean site, refitted covers

Register covers come off, get washed and go back on properly, and the work area is left as we found it.

  • Licensed & insured — certificate sent to your building on request
  • Background-checked technicians, never subcontractors
  • Written price agreed before any work starts
  • 14-day re-clean guarantee in writing

On the day

How the cleaning works

Inspect

We open a register, drop a camera in the trunk line, and show you what's actually in there.

Seal & connect

Registers sealed and the negative-air vacuum connected so the system stays under suction throughout.

Agitate

Rotary brushes and air whips run through each branch, pushing debris toward the vacuum.

Verify

Second camera pass, register covers refitted and washed, work area left clean.

Plain pricing

What it costs

Everything on this list is quoted before a tool comes out of the van.

Vent counts and duct layouts vary far too much for a price list to be honest, so anything beyond the promo is measured by the technician, quoted in front of you, and only done once you approve it. Commercial and multi-unit systems are quoted after a site visit.

Before we arrive

Before the duct crew arrives

Access is the whole job — the more registers we can reach, the better the result.

  • Clear furniture away from floor and wall registers.
  • Make sure the basement or attic unit is reachable.
  • Note any room that's always too hot or too cold.
  • Have a rough idea of how many vents you have — a quick count helps us quote exactly.
  • Mention any past water damage or mould concerns.

Our promise

  • Tell the technician before they pack up and they'll re-treat it on the spot. If the same stain comes back call within 14 days and we come back at no charge.
  • The price we quote on the phone is the price on the invoice.
  • Anything we can't fix, we tell you before we take payment.
  • Licensed, insured, and background-checked technicians only.

Straight answers

Questions we get every day

What exactly does the $149 air duct cleaning include?

One HVAC system, up to 10 supply vents and your main return, cleaned with a negative-air vacuum and rotary brushes, plus a before-and-after look inside the trunk line. Anything beyond that — extra vents, a second system, a dryer vent — is counted and quoted by the technician on site, and approved by you before any work starts.

How often should air ducts be cleaned?

Every three to five years for most homes. Sooner with pets, allergy sufferers, a smoker, a recent renovation, or if you can see dust blowing from the registers.

How long does the job take?

About two to three hours for a standard home with one system. Larger homes or two systems take most of a morning.

Do you clean dryer vents too?

Yes, and it matters — lint build-up is a genuine fire risk and the leading cause of a dryer that takes three cycles to finish. The technician needs to see the run first, since length and routing change the job, so it is quoted on site rather than over the phone.

Will duct cleaning help my allergies?

It removes dust, pet dander and debris that recirculate every time the system runs, and most customers notice less dust settling on surfaces. It isn't a cure for allergies, and any company promising that is selling you something.

Do you use chemicals or foggers inside the ducts?

Only if there's a documented mould or odour problem, and only with your approval. Standard cleaning is mechanical — brush and vacuum. We don't push routine sanitiser sprays you don't need.

How do I know if my ducts actually need cleaning?

Pull a register cover and look inside with a phone light. Visible dust build-up on the duct walls, debris around the vent, or uneven airflow between rooms are the usual signs. We'll also show you camera footage before we start.

Is the $149 price real, or does it climb once you're here?

It's real for what it covers. If your system is one unit with 10 vents or fewer, $149 is what you pay. If there are more vents, a second system or a dryer vent, the technician counts them with you and quotes before touching anything — and you can decline the extras and still have the promo done.

Do you clean ducts in apartments and condos?

Yes, where the unit has its own system or accessible vents. Central risers in large buildings belong to the building, not the tenant — we'll tell you quickly if that's what you have.

Do I need to be home for the whole job?

Someone should be there at the start for the camera walkthrough and at the end for the second pass. In between, most customers get on with their day.
